About DJ BRYANT
DJ Bryant was born and raised in the DMV area to Ghanaian parents whose rich musical roots helped shape his sound and identity as a DJ. Growing up in a household filled with music from reggae, francophone, dancehall, Latin music, and highlife to many other global sounds Bryant developed an early and deep appreciation for diverse rhythms and cultures.
At just 7 years old, Bryant’s father, known professionally as DJ Hot Lobito, noticed him watching closely while he DJed at home. Seeing the curiosity and excitement, his father decided to teach him the basics on the DJ set and from that moment, there was no turning back. When his father wasn’t home, Bryant would sneak onto the equipment, practicing, experimenting, and showing off his skills to friends (often getting into trouble). Recognizing the genuine passion, his father eventually bought him his own DJ set, officially kick-starting his journey.
As his skills grew, Bryant began DJing events alongside his father and uncle. Together, they formed The Classic DJs, a group made up of DJ Bryant, DJ Hot Lobito, and DJ Risky. The trio traveled throughout the East Coast, performing at festivals, large-scale events, and countless parties building experience, confidence, and a strong reputation.
Throughout elementary, middle, and high school, Bryant balanced his growing DJ career with athletics, becoming a standout wrestler. His dedication paid off as he earned a scholarship to wrestle at the next level, finishing his high school career as a District and Regional Champion and a Virginia All-American.
During his four years in college, Bryant successfully balanced academics, wrestling, and DJing, expanding his brand by working with universities, local businesses, restaurants, and organizations.
To stay relevant and reach a wider audience while away at school, he began releasing mixes on YouTube, where he built a loyal following and amassed over 500,000 total views across his mixes and online presence.
After graduating college, DJ Bryant fully committed to building his brand and refining his craft. He continues to expand his reach through live performances and curated experiences, performing at major events such as Jollof Festival, Karma DC Ghana Independence, Abigail’s, and events at over 20 colleges. He has also created and hosted high-energy experiences like the Nima Halloweekend Concerts, bringing people together through music and culture.
Today, DJ Bryant is an active and evolving artist, known for his ability to blend Afrobeats, Hip-Hop, R&B, Caribbean, and global sounds into seamless, high-energy sets. Through both live performances and thoughtfully crafted mixes, he focuses on creating unforgettable moments—wherever the music takes him.
